(Analisis terhadap Merosotnya Sistem Ekonomi Syariah di Era Globalisasi)

Abstract

This article discusses the decline or deterioration of the Sharia economic system in the era of globalization, focusing on transactions as a key element in the Sharia economic system. Transactions in the Sharia economy must adhere to Islamic principles; however, globalization brings cultural influences, global pressures, rapid information flow, and the complexity of the financial system that can disrupt the application of Sharia principles. The research method employed in this study is literature review. In this context, it is found essential to maintain the integrity and application of Sharia principles in economic transactions. Several contributing factors to the decline of the Sharia economic system include intellectual stagnation, declining compliance with Sharia principles, and external conflicts resulting in declining morals and loss of focus on religious principles. Recommended efforts to address this decline include strong education and socialization, the development of competitive Sharia financial products, and international support to promote Sharia economic principles. The implementation of these solutions is expected to sustain and develop a Sharia economic system based on ethics and justice amidst the challenges of globalization.
