Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Rolling Ball learning media on students' understanding of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at SMPN 1 Megaluh. The research method used is quantitative with a Pretest-Posttest design. The subjects of the study were students of class VII C. The method of data collection was through pretest and posttest tests. The study showed that the Rolling Ball learning media had a significant effect on students' understanding. The average value of the validation results of the questions used was 77% with the qualification of being suitable for use with improvement. The average pretest score was 34.29, while the posttest score increased to 85.00. Hypothesis testing using a paired t-test produced a significance value of 0.000 (p <0.05), which indicated that the Rolling Ball media was effective in improving students' understanding. This study also showed that students were more enthusiastic and motivated in the learning process, thus creating a more interactive and enjoyable learning atmosphere. This study recommends the use of the Rolling Ball learning media as an innovative alternative to improve student learning outcomes, especially in PAI subjects
