Pembentukan Karakter Siswa Melalui Pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam di Sekolah Menengah Pertama

This study attempts to describe the implementation of PAI learning in the formation of student character, the efforts made by PAI teachers in shaping student character and the Supporting Factors and Inhibiting Factors in the Implementation of Learning in the Character Formation of Class VIII (Eight) Students of SMP PGRI 4 Bandar Mataram. This study uses a qualitative approach. Methods of collection by observation, interviews, documentation and data triangulation. The results of this study are: 1). Implementation of PAI learning in character building for students Based on the example and belief exemplified by the Teacher Council so that students begin to have good character. 2). Efforts made in building students' character, namely PAI teachers apply and teach several character values to students including religious, honest, disciplined, responsible, independent, and polite characters. 3). Supporting factors include internal factors, and the character from within the individual itself. And external factors that influence the formation of student character include society, educational regulations, integrated curriculum, evaluation of learning experiences, parental assistance. And the inhibiting factors in the implementation of learning and efforts to form the character of class VIII (eighth) students include differences in student backgrounds.
